Concept and prototype for a story-driven, tactile tabletop game designed to combat screen-addiction in young teens. Encouraging face-to-face interaction and imagination, it offers an engaging, hands-on alternative to digital play that promotes attention, presence, and reduced reliance on devices.
Game Board Illustrations
The game board features a fantasy-inspired, visual-first aesthetic, with five hexagonal tiles surrounding a central pentagon to form a fractured planet. These vibrant illustrations immerse players in distinct regions, inviting tactile exploration and a sense of adventure.
Smaller game components include: 3D-printed pieces (character meeples, resources, and a d4 dice), story tokens, and prompt cards. These tactile elements are designed to drive narrative, player interaction, and strategic play.
Player Dashboards
Three colour-coded dashboards act as decision-making spaces, guiding character-based actions and tracking collected components. These keep players attentive, focused and actively involved during play.
